http://jasjastravel-southafrica.blogspot.com/

enjoy!!!

photo captions will be up soon..
and comments are most welcomed! (i love to see comments)

Cape town is really very beautiful... with rock mountains.. spectacular sea and waves.. really very nice scenary! =)
It's city is cleaner than Singapore.. (to me) Public transport ain't that accessible.. but who cares.. when cars are so cheap!
Went to Cape point (Cape of Good Hope) to see the sharp point where Altantic ocean and Indian ocean meets... (the reason why we travel 10 hrs to South Africa)

Johannesburg's city is not that nice relatively.. but we had fun at the nature reserve... the game drives are an unforgetable experience we ever had.. seeing wild uncaged animals upclose and personal...hee... rather dangerous having wild lions and elephants right in front of u though... but phew.. we survived it and took many pictures.. =p

Sun city is not bad too.. a huge theme park.. (seems like the safest area of South Africa) having many casinos and many activities for you to relax and enjoy!

to sum up.. South Africa is a MUST go place.. book your tickets now!

(any travel agency wanna pay me?!?)

*winkwink*

DID I MARRY THE RIGHT PERSON?

During one of our seminars, a woman asked a common question. She said,"How do I know if I married the right person?"

I noticed that there was a large man sitting next to her so I said, "It depends. Is that your husband?" In all seriousness, she answered "How do you know?"

Let me answer this question because the chances are good that it's weighing on your mind. Here's the answer.

EVERY relationship has a cycle. In the beginning, you fell in love with your spouse. You anticipated their call, wanted their touch, and liked their idiosyncrasies.

Falling in love with your spouse wasn't hard. In fact, it was a completely natural and spontaneous experience.

You didn't have to DO anything. That's why it's called "falling" in love...Because it's happening TO YOU.

People in love sometimes say, "I was swept of my feet." Think about the imagery of that expression. It implies that you were just standing there; doing nothing, and then something came along and happened TO YOU.

Falling in love is easy. It's a passive and spontaneous experience. But after a few years of marriage, the euphoria of love fades. It's the natural cycle of EVERY relationship. Slowly but surely, phone calls become a bother (if they come at all), touch is not always welcome (when it happens), and your spouse's idiosyncrasies, instead of being cute, drive you nuts.

The symptoms of this stage vary with every relationship, but if you think about your marriage, you will notice a dramatic difference between the initial stage when you were in love and a much duller or even angry subsequent stage.

At this point, you and/or your spouse might start asking, "Did I marry the right person?" And as you and your spouse reflect on the euphoria of the love you once had, you may begin to desire that experience with someone else. This is when marriages breakdown. People blame their spouse for their unhappiness and look outside their marriage for fulfillment.

Extramarital fulfillment comes in all shapes and sizes. Infidelity is the most obvious. But sometimes people turn to work, church, a hobby, a friendship, excessive TV, or abusive substances. But the answer to this dilemma does NOT lie outside your marriage.

It lies within it. I'm not saying that you couldn't fall in love with someone else. You could. And TEMPORARILY you'd feel better. But you'd be in the same situation a few years later. Because (listen carefully to this):

THE KEY TO SUCCEEDING IN MARRIAGE IS NOT FINDING THE RIGHT PERSON; IT'S LEARNING TO LOVE THE PERSON YOU FOUND.

SUSTAINING love is not a passive or spontaneous experience. It'll NEVER just happen to you. You can't "find" LASTING love. You have to "make" it day in and day out. That's why we have the expression "the labor of love."

Because it takes time, effort, and energy. And most importantly, it takes WISDOM. You have to know WHAT TO DO to make your marriage work.

Make no mistake about it. Love is NOT a mystery. There are specific things you can do (with or without your spouse) to succeed with your marriage.

Just as there are physical laws of the universe (such as gravity), there are also laws for relationships. Just as the right diet and exercise program makes you physically stronger, certain habits in your relationship WILL make your marriage stronger. It's a direct cause and effect. If you know and apply the laws, the results are predictable... you can "make" love.

Love in marriage is indeed a "decision"... Not just a feeling.

At the ranch, you will have the chance to learn about the development of ostrich breeding in South Africa. Don’t miss the photo opportunity to sit on one of the ostriches. Enjoy your ostrich lunch! MY ~~Pictures of LOVE~~!

I have to introduce this!! this is what i got for my 1 yr anniversary.. it was a surprise for me too!!
A great big Surprise!! THank you baby! =)

HMMmmm....

Description: It is an A1 size poster (length = a bolster's length and width = a pillow's length) framed up. it is made up of many many pics from different occasions we took over the magical year that has jus past... it has been such a lovely time and it seems like i am in heaven at times.. haha.. ;)
Pictures are taken from every folder that we have.. each folder consists of pics we took on different days...

EFFORTS & PROCEDURES: Darling used photoshop and put all the pictures together.. placed them nicely.. rearranging thousand times so that the colours side to side matches.. resizing every pic so that it fits into the right position.. changing some background colours so that it is perfect... printing it out on draft to see whether it is nice on paper... looking over spore for printers to print an A1 size photo... and looking everywhere to frame this beauty up..

awwwww.. so much effort and time spent... i Really appreciate it, love.. TQ!!!
MuackMuackkkssss!!!!
STitCheS of LOVE!!!!

May 2005: i got this blueprint from friend.. and decided to stitch it secretly for my baby... since it was approaching our 1 yr anniversary... wanna give it to him as a surprise present...

Started off VERY slow.... due to my current Full Time job, plentiful of tuitions.. and of cos time spent with darling.. at his place or mine.. actually i didnt really have time to do it.. cos not at home most days of the months.. BUT i am persistent on keeping it a secret..
so whenever i am at home.. i will rush and burn the midnight oil... haha.. got many times do until i fall asleep with lights on.. and the cloth on my stomach.. needle between my fingers still... haha.....

YEAH! can see the progress.. was happy to see more colours... i was thinking it looked rather dull at first... :p

TATA!!!
Finished! with outline.. now looks better ya.. but i tell u.. real life even nicer.. right, DAR??

I find it so sweet and loving... haha...

and finally........

part of darling's gift is the mini pouch! nice?

Then, we went to have dinner! @ Tavern... at mohd sultan area, Rivervalley... those who always go chiong should know...
It was a lovely fine dining place... The atmosphere was quiet and romantic... the waiters are very attentive and the food was great... and of cos price was high too..

this is the layout of the tables in the restaurant.. and the lighting is this dim.... but romantic ah...

this is dar's mushroom soup.. it has big mushrooms in it.. and the soup was very thick... yum yum...

darling is enjoying it! and starting to feel satisfied and drowsy.. look at his eyes...

this is mine... seafood soup... if i didnt remember wrongly... not nice de.. the mushroom soup was really much better...

Herring Fish.. this is actually an appetizer... but i made it my main dish.. the fish is cold.. like raw... but i think it's not totally raw though... taste salted.... abit like smoked salmon.. but the raw taste was much more..... Not so fantastic...

BUT

This Ribeye steak is perfect! absolutely perfect... This plate costs about $40...

The process of ordering: The waiter brought the whole slab of cow on a table... haha.. and a weighing scale... its $16 per 100g.. He cut a BIG, THICK piece of cow and weigh... 250g... says 'Sir, is this Enough?', replied 'Yes, Thank you..' so its $40..

i dun eat beef actually.. cos dun like the smell.. and I HATE THE TASTE of beef... but dar coerced me to try this.. as it has really fasinated him... and surprisingly.. i think it taste heavenly.. haha...

see the red meat? slurp slurp..

look at this guy... hahaha... licking cow...
